Who I am (in a run-on sentence)
I’m a (joyful and tired) mom of two little kids with a fun husband and a lot of older siblings and I’m pretty practical and easy going and I like being outside but dislike humidity, and I feel proud and empowered telling my daughters that I run my own practice and that my literal job is to help people.
WHY I do what I do:
I had foot pain forever and it was miserable. I’m talking elementary school (!) into my 30’s despite trying all the typical things: podiatrists, $$$ custom orthotics, cortisone and alcohol injections, modified activities, a thousand pairs of shoes, braces, gimmicky socks that might as well have been ordered from SkyMall. Two failed foot surgeries in college led me to cut my D1 field hockey career in half and shattered my student-athlete identity. Fast forward many years into my PT career. I took a continuing education course about the importance of the foot and ankle (and how it affects your entire leg and body) and my life changed forever. I dove into this stuff and never looked back. I’m no longer in daily pain. If I knew then what I know now, I’m convinced I wouldn’t have suffered for so long. So now, it’s my goal to share what I know to help change your story.
HOW I do what I do:
First I listen to your story. That guides the rest of the evaluation and tells me where and what I need to assess. We identify your strengths and the things that are contributing to your problem. Then we work together to come up with a simple, bang-for-your-buck plan. I use many different manual, passive, and active therapy techniques that come together to treat you as a whole. I want to empower you to do a few things, really well and really consistently so you can get back to the fun stuff.

work with me
I believe we should be able to move through normal life without huge amounts of pain or discomfort.
work with me
Groundwork was started as a vehicle to bring the same hope and relief to others that I found outside the conventional treatment model. Groundwork sets you up for success by allowing more quality time to build a trusting relationship, more comprehensive treatment, and fewer restrictions by third parties. Groundwork PT has become a sustaining force in my life. I learn from it and I learn for it.
